IAC SOFTBALL: TIOGA ROLLS TO 23-0 ROUT OF O-M (2022-04-25)

TIOGA CENTER — Junior M.J. Thetga was 5-for-5 to pace Tioga’s 21-hit attack, and senior Alissa Hine tossed a 1-hitter in a 23-0 win over Odessa-Montour here Monday afternoon in IAC Small School Division softball action.

The Lady Tigers, now 5-1, scored four runs in the bottom of the first inning, then sent 24 batters to the plate in an 18-run second inning to take a 22-0 lead.

Thetga had five hits, including a triple, one run scored, and four RBI, while senior Austyn Vance was 3-for-3 with a double, two runs scored, and three RBI, and senior Abby Foley was 3-for-3 with three runs scored, and one RBI.

Hine doubled and singled, scored two runs, and drove in three runs in the win, while senior Julia Bellis singled twice, scored three runs, and knocked in two runs, and 8th-grader RaeAnne Feeko tripled and singled, scored four runs, and drove in two runs.

Junior Felicia Lantz doubled and scored two runs for the Lady Tigers, while freshman Erin Luther, senior Molly Bombard, and junior Megan Shumway singled and scored two runs.

Hine was the beneficiary of the offensive onslaught, allowing one run and one walk in five innings, while striking out six.

Tioga returns to action Tuesday at Odessa-Montour.
