COLLEGE SOFTBALL: ATHENS GRAD SULLIVAN ENDS FRESHMAN SEASON AT KING'S COLLEGE ON THREE-GAME HIT STREAK (2022-05-07)

WILKES-BARRE — Athens grad Harley Sullivan, a freshman on the King’s College softball team, hit safely in the final three games of the season, and finished her first year with a .360 batting average.

King’s played its final two games of the season Thursday, losing to Arcadia, then beating FDU-Florham in the Middle Atlantic Conference championship tournament.

In the loss to Arcadia, Sullivan singled and scored one run. In the win over FDU-Florham, Sullivan doubled and singled, scored one run, and drove in one run.

Due to the weather and concerns about finishing the tournament in the required time, MAC officials ended play in the consolation bracket. King’s College ends it season with a 21-12 record.

Sullivan ends her freshman season with a .360 average (27 hits in 75 at-bats) and and a .429 on-base percentage. She had eight doubles, one triple, 18 RBI, and 13 runs scored. She had nine multi-hit games on the season.

Defensively, she had a .965 fielding percentage (4 errors in 113 defensive chances) and threw out three runners attempting to steal.
