COLLEGE BASEBALL: HANAFIN REGISTERS THREE-HIT GAME FOR LACKAWANNA COLLEGE IN REGION XIX SEMIFINALS (2022-05-07)

SCRANTON — Sayre grad Quinn Hanafin, a sophomore on the Lackawanna College baseball player, has a pair of three-hit games in the last four games, including a 10-5 win over Delaware Tech in the NJCAA Region XIX Championship semifinals.

In the opening game of the Region XIX Championships, Hanafin was 0-for-3 with a runs scored and two base on balls in a 6-3 win over Mercer CC.

Later in the day, Hanafin was 3-for-5 with a double, and two RBI in a 10-5 10-inning win over Delaware Tech.

On Sunday, Lackawanna split a doubleheader with Delaware Tech on the penultimate day of the regular season.

In the first game, Hanafin was 3-for-3 with an RBI in a 4-2 loss. In the nightcap, Hanafin was 1-for-2 with a run scored, two RBI in an 8-4 win.

Hanafin did not play in the regular-season finale Monday — a 15-11 loss to Northhampton.

Today’s championship game has been postpones. Lackawanna will face the winner of the consolation final game between Delaware Tech and Mercer County CC on Sunday.

On the season, Hanafin is batting .491 (55 hits in 112 at-bats) with 15 doubles, one triple, three home runs, 40 RBI, 26 runs scored, and one stolen base. He has a .530 on-base percentage, a .723 slugging percentage for a 1.253 OPS.
