ON TAP TODAY: WAVERLY BASEBALL, TIOGA SOFTBALL PLAY FOR DIVISION TITLES — BOTH AT NOTRE DAME (May 10, 2022)
Valley Sports Report THE VALLEY - The Waverly baseball teams and Tioga softball teams can clinch their respective division IAC titles this afternoon, but will both have to do it against rugged Notre Dame teams.
In other action, the IAC Large and Small School Divisional track & field meets are on tap.
BASEBALL Waverly (10-7 overall, 6-2 IAC South Large) at Notre Dame (13-4, 6-2), 5 p.m.: The Wolverines are coming off a 7-0 win over Notre Dame Wednesday, while the Crusaders topped Campbell-Savona, 10-3.
The two teams spilt their first two games this season. The winner of today’s game will win the division, and will play in the IAC Large School championship game Friday at Wells College.
SOFTBALL Tioga (10-2) at Notre Dame (11-2), 5 p.m.: The Lady Tigers dropped an 11-9 decision to S-VE at home Monday, while the Lady Crusaders blanked Newfield, 26-0.
A Tioga win, or an S-VE loss at Edison this afternoon clinches the division for the Lady Tigers.
O-M (1-12) at Waverly (6-7), 5 p.m.: The Wolverines are coming off a 17-1 win over Newfield, while the Lady Indians dropped a 25-10 decision to Newark Valley.

IAC South Small School Divisional meet, 4:30 p.m. @ Odessa-Montour:
BOYS GOLF Waverly at O-M, 4 p.m.
