In all, Bennett was 2-0 with one save in the Empire 8 tourney. She pitched 10 shutout innings, allowing five hits, while striking out 14 and walking three.
She was also named an All-Empire 8 Conference third team all-star.
At the NCAA Regionals, the Lady Saxons went 1-2.
Bennett allowed one run on two hits, while striking out four and walking four in 3 1/3 innings in a 3-1 loss to Kean University in the opening game of the NCAA Regionals.
She pitched a hitless inning of relief in the Lady Saxons 6-1 win over Waynesburg in the opening game of the consolation bracket.
The Lady Saxons then saw their season end with a 10-0 loss to Eastern Conn. State, ranked third in the nation. ECSU went on to beat Kean twice to win the Regional title.
