COLLEGE BASEBALL: SAYRE GRAD HANAFIN NAMED SECOND-TEAM ALL-AMERICAN, REGION XIX 'OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF YEAR' (2022-06-15)

Quinn Hanafin, a sophomore on the Lackawanna College baseball team, added another impressive item to his list of postseason accolades — All-American.
Hanafin was named a second team National Junior College Athletic Association Division II All-American on Tuesday. He was the lone representative from Region XIX on the All-American team, and was one of just nine players chosen from the eastern time zone.
The All-American honors came on the heels of being named the Region XIX Division II “Offensive Player of the Year.” He was also a first-team All-Region XIX all-star.
Hanafin was second in the nation with a .492 batting average. He had 58 hits, including 15 doubles, one triple, three home runs, 41 RBI, and 28 runs scored. He had 16 multi-hit games, including nine three-hit games.
