DISTRICT 6 LITTLE LEAGUE (MINORS): WAVERLY FALLS TO CORNING PAINTED-POST (24 PHOTOS) (2022-06-28)
Valley Sports Report PAINTED POST — The Waverly baseball team scored two first-inning runs, but a big second-inning helped lead Corning Painted-Post to a 21-3 win in Minors Baseball action.
With Corning the road team in the District 6 Little League playoffs, at home, they jumped out to a 8-0 lead in the opening inning, but Waverly came right back with two runs in the bottom half of the inning, before an 11-run second inning helped Corning get the win.
Triton Floyd walked in the first inning for Waverly and Brycan Fiske followed with an RBI triple and scored on a single by Cooper Skoveira.
Michael Hendershot had a single and scored in the third inning for Waverly’s other hit.
Blake Kizis was 4-for-4 for Corning Painted-Post with a double, a triple and two runs scored and Max Adriance had three hits and scored three runs.
Ronnie LaFeuer had two hits, with a triple and three runs scored and Noah Magnuson had two hits and scored two runs in the game.
Nick Rhodes had a double for CPP and Bryaton Morse had a hit and scored two runs and Colton Warner had a double and scored two runs.
