COLLEGE WRESTLING: TIOGA GRAD LAMB HELPS RIT TO 3-0 MARK AT WAYNESBURG DUALS; EARNS 50TH CAREER WIN (2022-11-20)

Austin Lamb, a senior on the RIT wrestling team, went 3-0 in his first action of the season, and helped the Tigers to a sweep at the Waynesburg Duals here Saturday.
The three wins give Lamb 50 for his career. He is 50-17, including a 25-9 season last year, in which he finished eighth at Nationals and earned All-America status.
RIT opened the day with a 48-3 win over host Waynesburg. Lamb, wrestling at 165 pounds, forged a 10-0 major decision win over Kyle Hinerman.
In the second round, RIT rolled to a 38-6 win over Division II Fairmont State. Lamb scored a quick takedown, and turned Jude Childers for a fall in 50 seconds.
In their final match of the day, the Tigers downed Washington & Jefferson, 42-6. Lamb finished off his perfect day with a 10-1 major decision over Nicholas Montalbano.
RIT returns to action on Saturday, Dec. 3, when it hosts the RIT Invitational.
