IAC BOWLING: TIOGA BOYS FALL 3-1 AT EDISON; LADY TIGERS PICK UP FOUR POINTS (2022-11-29)

ELMIRA — Thomas A. Edison used a pair of big 600 series to pull out a 3-1 win over Tioga in IAC boys bowling action, while the Lady Tigers picked up four points here Tuesday afternoon at Dixie Lanes.

BOYS
Edison 3, Tioga 1

Logan Card banged out a 679, and Zack Crown shot a 656 to lead the Spartans to a 3-1 win.

Edison won the first game 933-839, but Tioga bounced back for an 860-845 win in the second game. TAE closed out the match with a 987-776 win in the third game for a total-pinfall win over 2,765 to 2,475.

Freshman Nick Slater led the Tigers with a 587 series, including games of 202 and 222, while senior Brad Webb shot a 581, including a 236, and senior Frank Chapman rolled a 548.

Senior Gage Cain added a 502 for Tioga, while sophomore Kameron Joyce chipped in a 257, and sophomore Noah Schielie tacked on a 201.

Tioga, now 2-6, returns to action Thursday at Groton.

GIRLS
Tioga 4, Edison 0

Junior Chloe Gillette paced the Lady Tigers, who picked up an uncontested four points against Edison, which did not field a bowler.

Gillette rolled a 486, while senior Carline Chapman had a 459, junior Allie Creller had a 425, and sophomore Alicia Bennett added a 369.

Freshman Kelsey Helmich had a 361 for the Lady Tigers, and senior Jamie Card tacked on a 336.

Tioga, now 8-0, returns to action Thursday at Groton.
