IAC GIRLS BOWLING: WAVERLY SWEEPS UNION SPRINGS / PORT BYRON (2022-12-01)

WAVERLY — Senior Shantilly Decker led Waverly to a sweep of Union Springs / Port Byron here Thursday in IAC Large School Division girls bowling action at the Valley Bowling Center.

The Lady Wolverines, now 8-0, won the first game 870-802, then posted wins of 859-747, and 797-774 for a total-pinfall win of 2,526 to 2,323.

Decker paced Waverly with a 557 series, including a 219 in the first game, while senior Victoria Houseknecht shot a 540, and junior Rachel Houseknecht had a 516.

Sophomore Serenity Conklin rolled a 495 in the sweep, while 7th-grader Karis Hayes added a 405, and 8th-grader Emily Houseknecht tacked on a 353.

Colleen Jump led US / PB with a 579 series, and Jenna Jump added a 519.

Waverly returns to action Tuesday when it hosts Watkins Glen.
