ELMIRA — Senior Zach Vanderpool rolled a season-high series to lead the Waverly boys to a sweep of Notre Dame, while three Lady Wolverines rolled 500 series in a sweep here Tuesday afternoon in IAC bowling action at Dixie Lanes.

BOYS
Waverly 4, Notre Dame 0
The Wolverines won the first game 869-587, then won the next two games by scores of 994-638, and 959-711 for a total-pinfall win over 2,822 to 1,936.

Vanderpool, a returning State qualifier, banged out a 655 series on games of 171, 247, and 237, while senior Ashton Pritchard rolled a 578, and junior Trenton Sindoni had a 567, including a 220.

Freshman Derek Johnson shot a 536 for the Wolverines, while senior Michael Cole added a 478, and junior Carter Hayes tacked on a 474.

Conner Ryan led Notre Dame with a 525 series.

Waverly improves to 13-3 on the season.

GIRLS
Waverly 4, Notre Dame 0
The unbeaten Lady Wolverines, now 16-0, won the first game 758-854, then reeled off wins of 815-590, and 751-667 for a total-pinfall victory of 2,324 to 1,831.

Senior Shantilly Decker led Waverly with a 551 series, while junior Rachel Houseknecht had a 546, including a 220, and senior Victoria Houseknecht shot a 525, including a 201.

Seventh-grader Karis Hayes had a 392 in the sweep, and 8th-grader Emily Houseknecht tacked on a 310.

Jade Nordin led Notre Dame with a 451.

Waverly returns to action Thursday at Lansing.
