LANSING —  Senior Zach Vanderpool and junior Rachel Houseknecht rolled the high series to help the Waverly boys and girls to sweeps of Lansing here Friday afternoon in IAC Large School bowling action.

BOYS
Waverly 4, Lansing 0

Vanderpool tossed a 650 series on games of 236, 204, and 210 to help the Wolverines to a total-pinfall win of 551 pints in the sweep.

Junior Trenton Sindoni shot a 572, including a 211 in the third game, in the sweep, and senior Ashton Pritchard had a 546, including a 204 in the first game.

Freshman Tristan Campbell had a 543 series, including a 214 in the third game, for the Wolverines, while junior Karter Hayes had a 533, including a 223 in the third game, and freshman Derek Johnson added a 532.

Michael Day led Lansing with a 534 series.

Waverly improves to 41-3 on the season.

GIRLS
Waverly 4, Lansing 0

Rachel Houseknecht shot a 542, including a 207 in the third game, to pace Waverly in a 618-pin, total-pinfall win over Dryden.

Seniors Shantilly Decker and Victoria Houseknecht shot a 504 and a 482, respectively, in the sweep, and sophomore Serenity Conklin had a 475.

Seventh-grader Karis Hayes added a 369 for Waverly, and 8th-grader Emily Houseknecht tacked on a 364.

Keara Armstrong led Lansing with a 514.

The Lady Wolverines improve to 36-8 on the season.

Waverly returns to action Tuesday when it hosts Watkins Glen.
