NEW YORK STATE WRESTLING: TIOGA TOP SEED IN SATURDAY'S DIVISION 2 DUALS (2023-01-23)

SYRACUSE — Unbeaten and defending state champ Tioga is the top seed for Saturday’s New York State, Division 2 Duals here at the SRC Arena on the campus of Onondaga Community College.

Tioga is on Mat #5 in pool action with eighth-seeded Chautauqua Lake of Section VI, and unseeded Cobleskill-Richmondville of Section II.

Tioga will open at 9 a.m. against Cobleskill-Richmondville. After a bye, Tioga will finish pool play against Chautauqua Lake at noon.

Section III’s Central Valley Academy is the third seed, and is on Mat #8 with seventh-seeded Port Jefferson of Section XI, and unseeded Pearl River of Section I

Section V’s Canisteo-Greenwood is the third seed, and is on Mat #7 with sixth-seeded John Glenn of Section XI, and unseeded Saranac of Section VIII.

Section VIII’s Seaford is the fourth seed, and is on Mat #6 with fifth-seeded Gouverneur of Section X, and unseeded Saugerties of Section IX.

The semifinals (Mat #5 winner vs. Mat #6 winner; and Mat #7 winner vs. Mat #8 winner) are slated for 2:30 p.m., with the finals set for 5 p.m.
