NEW MILFORD, Pa. — Blue Ridge outscored Athens, 10-3, in the fourth quarter to pull out a 24-18 here Saturday afternoon in non-league girls basketball action.

Neither team had much success offensively in the first seven minutes and the game was tied 2-2 at the end of the first quarter.

Savannah Finan scored four points in the second quarter for Athens, and the game was tied at 7-all at the half.

Finan scored all eight of Athens’ points, and the junior Wildcats led 15-14 heading into the final seven minutes.

Finan led Athens with 15 points, 11 rebounds, two blocks shots, and two steals, while Nevaeh Kalinowski and Leah Nason, who had one blocked shot, each had five rebounds, and Ravyn Glisson had four rebounds and two steals.

Athens returns to action Wednesday at Canton.
