THE VALLEY — Two basketball games in the Valley — at Tioga and Athens — headline a light Tuesday night of action.

BOYS BASKETBALL
Union-Endicott (10-3) at Tioga (7-4), 5:30 p.m. JV start:
The Tigers are coming off a 77-74 win over Groton, while the Tigers rolled over Vestal, 93-44.

Sayre (6-9) at Wyalusing (3-11), 6 p.m. JV start: The Redskins are coming off a 63-53 loss to Athens Thursday, while the Rams dropped a 67-50 decision to Troy.

Sayre has dropped two in a row, while Wyalusing has dropped 10 of its last 11 games.

The Redskins are currently seventh in the District 4, Class AA playoff power rankings. The top eight qualify for the postseason.

Canton (6-7) at Athens (10-4), 6 p.m. JV start:
The Wildcats are coming off a 63-53 win over Sayre, while the Warriors dropped a 54-29 decision to North Penn Mansfield.

Athens is currently ranked third in District 4, Class 4A power rankings, while Canton is eighth in the Class AA rankings.

WRESTLING
Athens (2-4 overall, 2-3 NTL( at Towanda (12-5, 5-1), 6 p.m.:
The Black Knights are coming off a 40-27 win over Wyalusing Saturday, while the Wildcats dropped a 42-35 decision to Williamson.

Athens’ top records belong to junior Josh Nittinger (18-5 at 285), senior Jake Courtney (15-6 at 139), freshman Cooper Robinson (15-7 at 127), junior Mason Vanderpool (9-2 at 120), and sophomore Caleb Nason (9-9 at 215).

Towanda’s top records belong to sophomore Mason Higley (19-1 at 172), sophomore Riley Vanderpool (19-3 at 139), sophomore Sawyer Robinson (18-4 at 189 pounds), senior Andy Vanderpool (18-5 at 285), sophomore Rylee Sluyter (14-7 at 133).

North Penn-Liberty (7-5, 4-2) vs Sayre (0-10, 0-6), 6 p.m. @ Williamson; Sayre (0-10, 0-6) at Williamson, 7 p.m.: The Redskins are coming off a 54-0 loss to Northeast Bradford Saturday, while the Mounties topped the Warriors, 52-17, Friday.
