IAC BOYS BOWLING: WEBB'S 600 LEADS TIOGA BOYS TO SWEEP OF NOTRE DAME; LADY TIGERS PREVAIL, 3-1 (2023-01-31)

WAVERLY — Senior Brad Webb rolled a 600 series to lead Tioga to a sweep of short-handed Notre Dame Tuesday afternoon, while the Lady Tigers won a 3-1 decision in IAC bowling action here at the Valley Bowling Center.

BOYS
Tioga 4, Notre Dame 0

Webb rolled a 619 series on games of 243, 188, and 188 to lead the Tigers in a total-pinfall win of 2,520 to 1,423 over the three-man Crusader team.

Senior Gage Cain shot a 564, including a 211, in the sweep, while senior Frank Chapman had a 515 series, including a 201, freshman Nick Slater aded a 492, including a 204.

Freshman Nate Hulbert had a 312 series for the Tigers, and sophomore Kameron Joyce tacked on a 275.

Connor Ryan led Notre Dame with a match-high 653 series.

GIRLS
TIoga 3, Notre Dame 1

Notre Dame snuck out a seven-pin win in the first game, but Tioga rallied to win the next two games handily for a 2,156 to 1,871 total-pinfall victory.

The Lady Crusaders pulled out a 623-616 win in the first game, but the Lady Tigers rolled to wins of 703-574, and 837-674 in the next two games.

Junior Chloe Gillette led Tioga with a 486 series, including a 217 in the third game, while senior Caroline Chapman shot a 479, and senior BobbiJo Tarbox had a 440 series.

Junior Allie Creller had a 387 in the win, and freshman Kelsey Helmich added a 341, and senior Jamie Card tacked on a 310.

Jade Nordan led Notre Dame with a 533 series.

Tioga returns to action against Waverly at the Valley Bowling Center.
