IAC GIRLS BOWLING: DECKER, HOUSEKNECHT LEAD WAVERLY TO 3-1 WIN OVER TIOGA (2023-02-01)

WAVERLY — Senior Shantilly Decker and junior Rachel Houseknecht rolled 600 series to lead Waverly to a 3-1 win over Tioga here Wednesday afternoon in IAC girls bowling action at the Valley Bowling Center.

The Lady Wolverines won the first game 857-692, but the Lady Tigers bounced back with an 874-855 win in the second game. Waverly closed the match with am 895-766 win, for a total-pinfall victory of 2,607 to 2,332.

Decker rolled a 616 series on games of 200, 182, and 234, while Rachel Houseknecht shot a 604 on games of 206, 203, and 195.

Sophomore Serenity Conklin had a 549 series, including a 210 in the third game, for the Lady Wolverines, while senior Victoria Houseknecht had a 517, and 8th-grader Emily Houseknecht tacked on a 321.

Senior Caroline Chapman led Tioga with a 529 series, while junior Chloe Gillette shot a 487, including a 201 in the second game, and junior Allie Creller had a 465.

Senior BobbiJo Tarbox had a 411 for the Lady Tigers, while senior Jamie Card added a 410, and freshman Kelsey Helmich tacked on a 386.

Waverly hosts Watkins Glen Tuesday.
