TIOGA’S SINDONI NAMED GRUMPY GRIZZLY GIRLS’ “ATHLETE OF THE WEEK”Sindoni went 3-0, including her 100th career victory, to win her second Section IV wrestling title.
Sindoni, who won a state title in January, scored three pins, including a 9-second fall, in barely more than two minutes to win the 126-pound title.
Sindoni is ranked No.1 in the nation at 126 pounds.

TIOGA’S SICKLER NAMED GRUMPY GRIZZLY BOYS’ “ATHLETE OF THE WEEK”Sickler averaged 31 points, 11 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and four steals in three wins. He shot 58 percent from the field, including 47.1 percent from behind the 3-point arc.
On Tuesday, Sickler scored 21 points, including a trio of 3-pointers, and pulled down 13 rebounds in a 65-24 rout of S-VE.
On Wednesday, Sickler poured in 46 points, including four 3-pointers, and hauled down 15 rebounds in a 65-62 win over Union Springs
On Saturday, Sickler had 26 points, and five rebounds in a 79-46 win over Newark Valley.
