IAC BOYS BASKETBALL: TIOGA'S SICKLER VOTED FIRST-TEAM DIVISIONAL ALL-STAR; TWO TEAMMATES EARN SECOND-TEAM NOD (2023-02-15)

TIOGA CENTER — Tioga junior Evan Sickler was voted a first-team IAC South Small School Division all-star and two of his teammates — juniors Ethan Perry and Valentino Rossi — were voted to the second team.

Newfield’s Jalen Hardison was voted the divisional MVP.

FIRST TEAM
Jalen Hardison, Newfield:
Divisional MVP.

Evan Sickler, junior, Tioga: Ultra-athletic, and not afraid to get physical, Sickler can score from anywhere, and is a smart rebounder.

He is averaging 23.3 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 2.3 steals per game.

Also named to the first team were: Newfield’s Hezi McCoy, Candor’s Zeb Soper, and Candor’s Jadon Heidl.

SECOND TEAM
Ethan Perry, junior, Tioga:
Athletic and experienced, Perry is averaging 8.8 points, 3 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.7 steals per game.

Valentino Rossi, junior, Tioga: A tenacious rebounder and big presence in the paint, Rossi is averaging 7.8 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1 steal, and 0.5 assists per game.

Also named to the second team were: Newfield’s Austin Jenny, O-M’s Tyler Malnoske, and Newfield’s Zach Taylor.
