YOUTH BASKETBALL: AFTER WINNING LOCAL, DISTRICT ELKS HOOP SHOOTS, WAVERLY'S JUDSON PLACES THIRD AT STATES (2023-03-07)

STATE COLLEGE — Waverly’s Braiden Judson placed third at the Elks’ State Hoop Shoot here Saturday at Penn State.

Judson, competing in the 10-11-year-old boys division, made 17 of 25 shots to tie for second with three other shooters. He made 8 of 10 shots in a shoot off to finish second in the shoot off, and third overall on the day.

Judson advanced to the state competition by winning the local Elks Hoop Shoot at Waverly High School, and the District Hoop Shoot at Tamaqua High School, where he made 20 of 25 shots.
