WOMEN'S COLLEGE SOFTBALL: WAVERLY GRAD ROMANO COLLECTS FIRST HITS AT NAZARETH COLLEGE (2023-03-17)

NAPLES, Fla. — Waverly grad Bella Romano, a freshman on the Nazareth College softball team, collected her first two collegiate hits in a loss to Mitchell College here Thursday afternoon.

Romano was 2-for-3 with a run scored, and a stolen base in the Golden Flyers’ 5-3 setback.

This morning, Romano singled in three at-bats. She also scored one run and stole a base in a 6-4 loss to Westfield College.

Romano has started in right field in five of Nazareth’s nine games this season. She is batting .375 (3 hits in 8 at-bats) with three runs scored, one RBI, and two stolen bases.

Nazareth College, now 4-5, returns to action this afternoon against Emerson College.
