THE VALLEY - After a complete washout on Wednesday, there are five events on Thursday’s docket, with Tioga’s baseball game against Newark Valley the only action in the Valley. There are also afternoon showers in the forecast.

BASEBALL
Newark Valley (2-9) at Tioga (9-5), 4:30 p.m.: The Tigers topped arch-rival Newark Valley, 14-2, Tuesday, and will host the Cardinals this afternoon.

SOFTBALL
Athens (2-10) at North Penn-Liberty (11-0), 4:30 p.m.: The Lady Wildcats are coming off a 3-2 loss at Towanda Tuesday, while the Lady Mountaineers topped Wyalusing, 6-1.

BOYS GOLF
Waverly at Notre Dame, 3:30 p.m.
Tioga at Candor, 3:30 p.m.

TENNIS
Waverly at Newark Valley, 4:30 p.m.
