NTL JUNIOR HIGH SOFTBALL: JARVIS POWERS SAYRE TO WIN OVER COWANESQUE VALLEY; LADY 'SKINS SPLIT DOUBLEHEADER (16 PHOTOS) (2023-05-19)
Valley Sports ReportWESTFIELD, Pa. — McKenna Jarvis banged out three home runs to help Sayre to a bounce-back win over Cowanesque Valley here Monday afternoon in the second game of a NTL junior high softball doubleheader.
Cowanesque Valley won the opening game of the twinbill, 20-4. McKenna Parrish, and Kaiya Horton accounted for Sayre’s hits.
In the nightcap, Jarvis put on a show, with a grand slam, a three-run home run, and a solo shot in a 9-RBI game to lead Sayre to a 22-7 victory.
Parrish, Peyton Black, Emily Strickland, and Horton all rapped doubles in the win, and Kayleigh Winiavski, and Paige Secrist each added singles.
Sayre is 9-3 on the season.
