IAC GIRLS GOLF: ROBINSON PLACES SECOND, LEADS WAVERLY TO SECOND PLACE AT LEAGUE MEET (2023-05-19)

ITHACA — Waverly sophomore Breanne Robinson finished second in the individual standings, and the Lady Wolverines were second in the team standings here Friday at the IAC Girls Golf Championships at Hillendale Golf Course.

Lansing shot a four-player aggregate score of 413, while Waverly had a 424, and SVEC was third with a 450.

Lansing’s Haley Baughan won low-medal honors with an 86, and Robinson was the only other golfer to break 100, shooting a round of of 95 on the par-72 course at Hillendale.

Waverly junior Natalie Lauper finished fifth in the individual standings with a round of 104, and freshman Addison Hunt was eighth with a 109.

Sophomore Lauryn DeLill shot a 116 for the Lady Wolverines, and sophomore Maddy Farnham carded a non-scoring round of 124.

Carly Thomas finished third with a 101 to lead O-M, while Marathon’s Savannah Warfield placed fifth with a 104, and SVEC’s Lauren Gillette was seventh with a 105.

Allison Kehoe led Moravia with a 115, while Aubrey Kwiatkowski led Newark Valley with a 126.

Waverly return to action Thursday at the Section IV Championships at Soaring Eagles Golf Course.
