SECTION IV BOYS GOLF: DAVIES LEADS WAVERLY'S EFFORT AT CLASS B CHAMPIONSHIPS (2023-05-22)

MARATHON — Senior Evan Davies was the only Waverly golfer to break 100 here Monday at the Section IV, Class C boys golf championships at Maple Hills Golf Course.

Davies fired a 99, while fellow seniors Joey Bernatavitz and Landon McCarty shot rounds of 100 and 101, respectively.

Junior Devyn Kinney and freshman Mac Talada carded rounds of 104, and sophomore Carson McIsaac added a non-scoring round of 121.

Chenango Forks, led by low-medalist Trevor Warpus’ round of 73, won the team title with a five-player aggregate score of 449, while Greene was runner-up at 461, and Lansing was third at 462. Waverly finished sixth at 508.

Waverly wraps up the 2023 season Tuesday at the IAC Championships at Soaring Eagles.
