SECTION IV GIRLS GOLF: WAVERLY FALLS TO HORSEHEADS IN FINAL TUNE-UP BEFORE SECTION IV CHAMPIONSHIPS (2023-05-23)

HORSEHEADS — Sophomore Breanne Robinson shot a 47 to lead Waverly in a 186-227 loss to powerhouse Horseheads here Tuesday afternoon at Willowbrook Golf Course in the final tune-up before Thursday’s Section IV Girls Golf Championships.

Horseheads ace Brooklyn Moffe earned low-medal honors, while Lansing’s Hailey Baughan was runner-up on the day with a 42, followed by Robinson, and Horseheads’ Olivia Hatch and Mady Weigand, who shot 48 and 49, respectively.

Freshman Addison Hunt and sophomore Maddy Farnham each shot rounds of 56 for the Lady Wolverines, and junior Natalie Lauper carded a 68.

Waverly returns to action Thursday morning in the Section IV Championships at Soaring Eagles Golf Course.
