EAST TROY - Troy pitching kept Sayre’s bats silent in both ends of a doubleheader, sweeping the game by scores of 2-0 and 11-1 here Thursday in NTL junior high softball action.

Troy 2, Sayre 0
Sayre’s Zoe Ward was tagged with a tough-luck loss in the 2-0 decision. She pitched a complete game, and struck out three.

Ward also hit a triple, and Allee Turner singled to account for Sayre’s two hits.

Troy 11, Sayre 1
Payton Black’s solo home run accounted for Sayre’s only run in an 11-1 setback.

McKenna Jarvis pitched a complete game for Sayre with four strikeouts.

Sayre is now 9-5 on the season.
