THE VALLEY — Athens sophomore Sara Bronson was the lone Valley girl to compete at the PIAA Track & Field Championships, and had a strong run in the 3,200-meter run, and Waverly sophomore Micah Chandler was a triple-winner at the Section IV, Class B Track & Field Championships. ATHENS’ BRONSON NAMED McGUIRE’S SEPTIC SERVICE GIRLS “ATHLETE OF THE WEEK”
Bronson, the runner-up at the District 4, Class AA Track & Field Championships last week, ran in the 3,200-meter run Saturday at States.

Bronson finished 13th in a time of 11:36.78 at PIAA, Class AA Championships.

WAVERLY’S CHANDLER NAMED McGUIRE’S SEPTIC SERVICE BOYS “ATHLETE OF THE WEEK”
Chandler, who won the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 57.17 seconds, ran strong legs in a pair of Section IV gold medal relays for the Wolverines.

The Waverly 4x1 won in a time of 43.55 seconds, and the 4x4 team won in a time of 3:33.91.
