TRIO OF VALLEY STANDOUTS AMONG COACHES AT HIGH HEAT 'SUMMER BASEBALL CAMPS' AT SAYRE (2023-05-30)

SAYRE — High Heat Baseball will host a series of “Summer Baseball Camps” for ages 7 through 12 this summer here at Riverfront Park.

The four sessions are being held fro June 26-29, July 17-20, July 31-Aug. 3, and Aug. 7-10 from 8 a.m. until noon. In the event of rain on any day of the camp, sessions will be held at the Waverly Sports Complex, located on Broad Street in Waverly.

The cost is $200 per week, which includes a High Heat t-shirt. Discounts are available for multiple weeks.

Cortland State grad, and current Waverly JV baseball coach, Patric Bronson, and Keuka College grad Bryan Johnsen will lead the coaching staff that also including a trio of local standouts in Athens senior Lucas Horton, Sayre senior Jackson Hubbard, and Waverly junior Joey Tomasso.

Horton, a multi-time NTL all-star, is headed to St. John Fisher University in the fall to play baseball and football, while Hubbard, also an NTL all-star, is headed to Monroe Community College to play baseball, and Tomasso, an IAC all-star, is being heavily recruited by Division I and Division IAA football programs.
