YOUTH BASKETBALL: LADY 'CATS BASKETBALL CAMP AWARD-WINNERS (2023-06-20)

ATHENS - The second annual Athens Lady ‘Cats Basketball Camp, for grades first through sixth, wrapped up Thursday.

Athens girls varsity coach Brian Miller directed the camp, assisted by JV coach Dan Lane, Athens youth coaches, former Athens players, and current high school and junior high players.

The camp stresses teaching skills, drills, games, and competitions.

Awards were handed out in each age group. They are:

First- and Second-grade
Knock Out: Zaverly Holbert;
Dribble Maze Race: Ava Rhodes;
Foul Shots: Kensley Gabriel;
Hot Shot: Adelaide Gorman.

Third- and Fourth-grade
Knock Out: Azlan Holbert;
Dribble Maze Race: Allie Lyon;
Foul Shots: Hensley Gabriel;
Hot Shot: Adriann Jackson.

FIfth- and Sixth-grade
Knock Out: Olivia Frantz;
Dribble Maze Race: Stella Unger;
Foul Shots: Sjy Payne;
Hot Shot: Lexi Mayo.

The "Best Camper Award" was presented to Penelope Medical.
