RECORD NUMBERS TAKE PART IN WAVERLY BOYS BASKETBALL CAMP (24 PHOTOS) (July 14, 2023)
Valley Sports Report WAVERLY — A record 206 kids from more than 15 different schools took to the basketball courts at Waverly High School this week for the annual Waverly boys basketball camp.
There were awards in each age group, playoff games for each age group and a coaches vs. all-stars game to conclude camp. The coaches, who are undefeated in the history of the camp in the game, got a scare as the all-stars tied things in the final minute before Troy’s Ty Barrett, a former participant in the camp and now a coach who plays for Mansfield University, hit the go-ahead shot.
