YOUTH SWIMMING: WAVERLY HOSTS NATIONAL CHAMPION AS HEAD CLINICIAN AT 'FASTER AND FITTER SWIM CAMP' (16 PHOTOS) (2023-07-20) Valley Sports Report WAVERLY - Giles Smith, a USA National Champion in the 100 butterfly and Pan-American games gold medalist in the 100 butterfly, was the head clinician at the "Fitter and Faster Swim Camp" Tuesday and Wednesday here at Waverly High School.
Swimmers from WAAC, the Chemung Sailfish, and the Corning River Hawks were participating. There were also swimmers from the Binghamton area, and one from Toronto.
Tuesday's focus was the butterfly and Wednesday’s was on the breaststroke.
The morning sessions were for 9-to 11-year-olds and the afternoon session was for 12-and-over.
