YOUTH BASEBALL: LOCAL ATHLETE TAKES PART IN MVP ALL-AMERICAN BASEBALL CLINIC (11 PHOTOS) (2023-07-31) Valley Sports Report BIG FLATS — Athens’ Ryan Hicks was one of the players on the field for the MVP All-American Baseball Clinic on Monday.
The clinic, put on by the Senecas baseball team, featured a number of star collegiate athletes from Section 4.
Notre Dame graduate Owen Stewart, who pitches for George Mason, was working with the kids on pitching. Mansfield University outfielder Ryan Scott, a Horseheads graduate, was working with them on outfield play and Matt Procopio, a Horseheads graduate that played for Niagara County Community College worked with them on infield.
Coach Brian Jones, who played in the minor leagues for the Cincinnati Reds, helped work with the kids on catching. —— Photos by BRIAN FEES
