VOLLEYBALL DEVELOPMENT CAMP AT WAVERLY DRAWS 127 CAMPERS (8 PHOTOS) (2023-08-13)
Valley Sports ReportWAVERLY - Sets, spikes, and digs were the name of the game last week third annual Volleyball Development Camp at Waverly, which drew 127 campers from 16 different school districts.
We had another great turnout," said S-VE volleyball coach and camp co-facilitator Charity Meyers.
The camp had three sessions — kindergarten through 5th-grade, sixth- through eighth-grade, and ninth- through 12th-grade.
Waverly JV coach Morgan Lynch teamed with Meyers as camp facilitators, while SUNY Broome women’s coach Jesse Bishop; Elmira College men’s coach Ryan McDonough; Hall of Fame coach Patti Parrone; Corning CC coach Jared Kukco; Athens head coach Heather Hanson, Canton coach Abigail Williams; Beau Roskow Waverly assistant coach; travel coaches Sydney Meyers, and Cassandra Meyers; Section IV official Gary Swartwood; and strength & conditioning coach David Meyers.
The camp also featured current and former collegiate players assisting in Waverly’s Paige Lewis (DeSales), Candor’s Asia Curkendall (Elmira College), Athens’ Amelia Martin (Elmira College), Waverly’s Emilee Little (Corning CC), and Jordan Mente.
