WOMEN'S COLLEGE SOCCER: WAVERLY GRAD PICCO'S FIRST COLLEGIATE GOAL AT LaSALLE A GAME-WINNER (2023-09-02)

PHILADELPHIA - Waverly grad Gabby Picco, a junior on the Division I LaSalle University women’s soccer team, scored her first career goal Thursday in the Explorers’ 3-1 win over Seton Hall.

Picco scored the eventual game-winning goal in the 22nd minute to give LaSalle a 2-0 lead.

On Aug. 24, Picco recorded her first collegiate point with an assist in LaSalle’s 2-1 loss to Delaware.

Picco has started in all five of the Explorers’ games this season, and is averaging 87.4 minutes per game.

Picco has one goal and one assist on the season.

LaSalle, 2-3 on the season, hosts Bucknell Sunday.
