Valley Sports ReportHORSEHEADS - Ryan Anderson netted a first-half hat trick to lead Horseheads to a 6-0 lead at the break, on its way to a 10-0 win over Waverly here Saturday morning in STAC boys soccer action.
Anderson opened the scoring, off an assist from Dominic Hugg, in the opening minute of the game, and scored again in the 10th minute to give the Blue Raiders an early 2-0 lead.
Ben Church added goals in a three-minute span to give Horseheads a 4-0 lead 16 minutes into the contest.
Anderson, off a feed from Elijah Friend, completed his hat trick in the 36th minute, and Tommy Klee capped the first-half barrage less than two minutes later.
Friend, Ismael Nya, Jaret Teeter, and Santiago Moreira-Antepara tacked on goals for Horseheads in the second half.
The Blue Raiders had a 20-0 advantage in shots-on-goal, and a 3-0 edge in corner kicks.
Senior Thomas Morley, and sophomore Aiden Doherty each had five saves in net for the Wolverines.
Waverly, now 1-7, returns to action Tuesday at Seton Catholic.
