STAC GIRLS SWIMMING: WAVERLY WINS ALL 11 EVENTS; TOPS SUS. VALLEY, 130-22 (24 PHOTOS) (2023-09-26)

WAVERLY - Waverly, led by quad-winner sophomore Mira Kittle, won all 11 events in a 130-22 win over Susquehanna Valley here Tuesday evening in STAC girls swimming action.

Sophomore Olivia Cheresnowsky and 8th-grader Lauryn Welles were triple-winners, while 7th-graders Megan Atanasoff, Ayla Wheeler, and Audrey Kellogg were double-winners for the Lady Wolverines, who are now 5-0.

Kittle led a sweep in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 25.38 seconds, while Cheresnowsky was second in 25.53 seconds, and Kellogg was third in 29.61 seconds.

Kittle also won the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 57.96 seconds, with Welles placing second in 1:00.48.

Kittle teamed with Welles, Cheresnowsky, and Atanasoff to win the 200-yard freestyle relay in a time of 1:46.05, and the Waverly foursome of Wheeler, Sophie Williams, Emma Vanderhoof, and Brinn Cooney was second in 2:02.36.

The same foursome won the 400-yard freestyle relay in a time of 4:16.98, while the Waverly foursome of Robinson, Williams, Kellogg, and Vada Harmon placed second in 4:44.47.

Cheresnowsky won the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:06.96, and Atanasoff was second in 1:30.32.

Welles won the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:24.81, and Steck was second in 1:30.97.

Wheeler won the 200-yard IM in a time of 2:55.1, while Steck was second in 2:59.79, and 8th-grader Brynna Twedt was third at 3:07.62.

Kellogg led a sweep in the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:16.11, while Atanasoff was second in 1:19.13, and Twedt was third in 1:23.23.

Wheeler, and Kellogg teamed with Steck and Twedt to win the 200-yard medley relay in a time of 2:24.41.

Vanderhoof led a sweep in the 200-yard freestyle, clocking in at 2:40.3, while Harmon was second in 2:42.95, and Bella Root was third in 2:45.51.

Junior Lizzy Robinson led a sweep in the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 6:26.84, while Williams was second in 7:02.0, and Harmon was third in 7:26.6.

Waverly returns to action Tuesday at Oneonta.
