THE VALLEY - Athens junior Sara Bronson punched her ticket for her third trip to the PIAA Cross-Country Championships, while Athens freshman Connor Davidson had a career night on the gridiron. They are the Valley Sports Report / Bishop Brothers Construction "Athletes of the Week," for the week ending Oct. 29.

ATHENS’ DAVIDSON NAMED BISHOP BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION BOYS "ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"
Davidson accounted for six touchdowns in Athens’ 42-14 win over Sayre in the "Rusty Rail" rivalry game.

Davidson threw for 141 yards, and three TDS — passes of 24, 28, and 37 yards, and had TD runs of 53 and 2 yards.

Davidson also added a special-teams touchdown, scooping up a blocked field goal, and racing 85 yards for a score.

ATHENS’ BRONSON NAMED BISHOP BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION GIRLS "ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"
Bronson put together one of her best races of the season when it counted most to qualify for the PIAA, Class AA Cross-Country Championships for the third year in a row.

Bronson clocked in at 18:44 to place eighth overall at the District 4 Championships.
