Corning senior Brooke Terwilliger shattered the Section IV diving record, Northeast Bradford junior Gracelyn Laudermilch ran to a District 4 cross-country title, and Athens freshman Connor Davidson accounted for six TD’s a win over his school’s biggest rival. They are The Sports Reports / Ziff Law Firm Regional "Athletes of the Week," for the week ending Oct. 28.

CORNING’S TERWILLIGER, NEB’S LAUDERMILCH SHARE ZIFF LAW FIRM REGIONAL GIRLS ‘ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"
Terwilliger set the Section 4 record for 11 dives with a score of 590.30. The score shattered the old sectional record (566.55) by more than 20 points, and would have won the state tournament any year.

While the score came in a dual meet, the score is nearly 20 points higher than anyone has ever recorded at the state championships.

Laudermilch broke the 19-minute mark for the first time this year — running 18:58, and led led much of the race at the District 4 Championships.

Laudermilch beat Kate Moncavage, who is ranked second in Class A in Pa.

Laudermilch led NEB to the District 4 team title.

ATHENS’ DAVIDSON NAMED ZIFF LAW FIRM REGIONAL BOYS ‘ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"
Davidson accounted for six touchdowns in Athens’ 42-14 win over Sayre in the "Rusty Rail" rivalry game.

Davidson threw for 141 yards, and three TDS — passes of 24, 28, and 37 yards, and had TD runs of 53 and 2 yards.

Davidson also added a special-teams touchdown, scooping up a blocked field goal, and racing 85 yards for a score.
