STAC BOYS SWIMMING: UNDER-MANNED WAVERLY FALLS TO FORKS IN SEASON-OPENER (November 29, 2023)

WAVERLY - Liam Wright was a triple-winner, but Chenango Forks won 8 of 12 events to hand out-manned Waverly a 105-49 setback in its first-ever STAC boys swim meet here Tuesday afternoon.

Liam Wright won the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:02.6. He also won the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 59.79 seconds.

Wright team with Finn Williams, Jesse Lantz, and Paxton Grover to win the 400-yard freestyle relay in a time of 4:31.98.

Williams won the 200-yard IM in a time of 2:32.99. He placed second in the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:22.72.

Maddox Montanye finished second in the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:37.46.

Grover finished third int he 50-yard freestyle in a time of 26.99 seconds, and was also third in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 1:05.66.

Waverly returns to action Dec. 5 at Greene.
