WAVERLY’S TOMASSO, TIOGA’S BELLIS SHARE BISHOP BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION BOYS ‘ATHLETE OF THE WEEK’ HONORSTomasso threw for four TDs, and ran for two more in leading Waverly to the New York State Class C football championship.
Tomasso completed 18 of 26 passes for 333 yards, and four TDs, and ran 13 times for 58 yards, and two TDs in a 46-26 win over Fonda-Fultonville.
Bellis threw for three TDs, and ran for another in leading Tioga to its third consecutive Class D state title, and the program’s 41st straight win.
Bellis completed 3 of 4 passes for 98 yards, and three TDs, and ran the ball six times for 92 yards, and one TD in a 63-14 win over Stillwater.

ATHENS’ ADDY WHEELR NAMED BISHOP BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION GIRLS ‘ATHLETE OF THE WEEK’Wheeler stuffed the stat sheet in her first game of the season, leading Athens to a 61-22 win over Tioga.
Wheeler had 16 points, six rebounds, six assists, and six steals in the win.
