Scott Woodring, a junior on Mansfield University men’s basketball team, had a season-high in points and rebounds recently in the Mounties’ win over Pitt-Johnstown.
The 6-8 Woodring scored 15 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, and nine rebounds, including four offensive boards, to go along with two steals, and one blocked shot in 26 minutes of action in a 68-57 win over Pitt-Johnstown.
In the game prior, Woodring had 10 points, including one 3-pointer, two rebounds, two assists, three steals, and one blocked shot in 23 minutes of action in a 77-75 loss to Clarion.
On Saturday, Woodring scored eight points, and grabbed six boards, to go along with two assists in a season-high 28 minutes in an 85-82 loss to Roberts Wesleyan.
On the season, Woodring is averaging 9.3 points and 4.1 rebounds in 21.3 minutes of play per game. In seven games, Woodring has five 3-pointers, four assists, six steals, and three blocked shots.
He is shooting 45.1 percent from the field, and 82.4 percent (14 of 17) from the free-throw line.
Mansfield, now 3-4, plays at IUP Monday night.
