STANFORD'S PEEP WILLIAMS ENJOYS FIRST 'PERFORMANCE TRAINING CAMP' AT WAVERLY SPORTS COMPLEX (12 PHOTOS) (2024-01-03)
Valley Sports ReportWAVERLY — Seton Catholic grad Peep Williams, a sophomore on the Div. I Stanford lacrosse team, had a full house in her first visit to the Waverly Sports Complex.
Williams, along with Rob Baxter of BX Strength & Speed, ran a three-hour "Performance Training Camp," with girls ranging from 5th-grade through 12th-grade, and had more than 20 girls in attendance.
"My goal, and Rob’s goal, is to bring opportunities I didn’t have as a young girl to the community — Waverly, Binghamton, and the surrounding areas," said Williams.
"This is for all girls in general," she noted. "Whether is’s for lacrosse or any other sport, being able to work out with next-level training, whether it’s my camps I put on, or it’s Rob’s camps I can be a part of, I’m just excited to be a part of it.
The three-hour camp featured each participant working with Williams and Baxter on drills and techniques to increase strength, speed, and power, along with flexibility. Additionally, Williams and Baxter discussed healthy eating and mental performance strategies.
"Rob has an amazing facility here, it’s state-of-the-art … and these girls had a blast," said Williams. "I can’t wait to do this again."
