PITTSFORD, N.Y. — Waverly grad Sidney Tomasso, a junior on the St. John Fisher women’s basketball team, scored the 1,000th point of her career Friday night in the Cardinals’ lopsided win over Sage College.

Tomasso, who also topped the 1,000-point plateau at Waverly, scored her milestone bucket in the opening moments of the fourth quarter.

She finished the game with 14 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, seven rebounds, two assists, and one steal in 31 minutes of action in a 67-38 win over Sage College.

Waverly grad Alex Tomasso, a grad student at SJF, played three minutes, and had one assist.

On Saturday, Sidney Tomasso had eight points, including a pair of 3-pointers, one rebound, three assists, and one steal in 23 minutes in an 87-39 win over Hartwick College.

Alex Tomasso hit her only shot of the game — a 3-pointer — and had two rebounds, and one assist in six minutes of play.

On the season, Sidney Tomasso is averaging 15.5 points, 7.1 rebonds, 2.1 assists, and 2.3 steals per game.

St. John Fisher, now 17-2 and winners of 14 straight, returns to action Tuesday at Keuka College.
