SECTION IV WRESTLING: TIOGA HAS SIX TOP SEEDS, FIVE 2-SEEDS AT DIVISION 2 QUALIFIER 'A' SATURDAY (2024-01-30)

TIOGA CENTER - Fifteen of Tiog;;s 16 wrestlers are seeded in the top-four in their weight classes, including six top seeds, five 2-seeds, here Saturday at the Section IV, Division 2 wrestling Qualifier A.

Also at Tioga for Qualifier A are: Norwich, Newark Valley, Unatego-Unadilla Valley, BGAH, Marathon, Thomas A. Edison, Deposit-Hancock, Moravia, Susquehanna Valley, Chenango Valley, and Owego.

Tioga has freshman Declan McKee (101 pounds), sophomore Jayden Duncanson (131), seniors Gianni Silvestri (138), Deakon Bailey (145), Caden Bellis (152), and Ousmane Duncanson (160) are top seeds for the Tigers, while sophomore Logan Bellis (116), seniors Levi Bellis (131), Tyler Roe (145), and Drew Macumber (160), and junior Tate MaCauley (285 pounds) are the 2-seeds.

Sophomore Kadin Cole (108 pounds) is a 3-seed Saturday, and juniors Jonah Lamb (190), and Austin Babcock (215), and freshman James Howey are 4-seeds.

Qualifier B will be held at Greene at the same time, with Waverly, SVEC, Whitney Point, Maine-Endwell, Lansing, Schuyler, Oneonta, Oxford-Greene, Sidney, Thomas A. Edison, Walton-Delhi, and Windsor in action there.

The top five advance to the Section IV, Division 2 Championships on Feb. 10.
