SECTION IV WRESTLING: WAVERLY HAS SIX TOP-FOUR SEEDS AT DIVISION 2 QUALIFIER 'B' (2024-01-30)

GREENE - Waverly has six top-four seeds, including two top seeds and two 2-seeds, here Saturday at the Section IV, Division 2 wrestling Qualifier B.

Also at Greene for Qualifier B are: SVEC, Whitney Point, Maine-Endwell, Lansing, Schuyler, Oneonta, Oxford-Greene, Sidney, Dryden, Walton-Delhi, and Windsor.

Eighth-grader Drayton DeKay (108) and sophomore Troy Beeman (285) are top seeds for the Wolverines, while freshmen Rhylee Stotler (108) and Parker Larson (152 are 2-seeds.

Freshman Matthias Welles (215) is a 3-seed, and 7th-grader Avery Bowman (101) is a 4-seed for Waverly.

Qualifier B will be held at Tioga at the same time, with Tioga, Norwich, Unatego-Unadilla Valley, BGAH, Marathon, Dryden, Deposit-Hancock, Moravia, Susquehanna Valley, Chenango Valley, and Owego in action there.

The top five advance to the Section IV, Division 2 Championships on Feb. 10.
