Valley Sports ReportTHE VALLEY - Basketball takes center stage Monday night with home games in Tioga, Athens, and Sayre as the 2023-24 regular season enters its final week.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Ithaca (2-16) at Tioga (12-6), 5:30 p.m. (Varsity only): The Tigers are coming off a 52-41 win at S-VE on Tuesday, while the Little Red dropped a 62-38 decision to Horseheads Tuesday.
Tioga will be without three starters, and one bench player — one sick, and three out after being ejected in the S-VE.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Notre Dame (4-13) at Athens (7-13), 6 p.m. JV start: The Wildcats are coming off a 35-26 home loss to Williamson Friday, while the Crusaders edged Lansing, 48-47, Friday.
Canton (8-13) at Sayre (0-20), 6 p.m. (Varsity only): The Redskins have been out of action since a 44-34 loss to North Penn-Liberty on Feb. 2 due to sickness, while the Warriors beat North Penn-Mansfield, 43-25, at home for their second win in a row.
Earlier this season, Canton topped Sayre at home, 44-24.
Tioga (0-18) at Dryden (4-14), 6 p.m. (Varsity only): The Tigers are coming off a 46-23 loss to Harpursville Friday night, while the Purple Lions dropped a 79-46 decision at Watkins Glen.
