THE VALLEY — April Fool’s Day has two baseball games on the docket, with Waverly and Tioga, playing its season-opener, both on the road.

BASEBALL
Waverly (1-0 overall, 1-0 STAC) at Seton Catholic (0-2, 0-2), 11 a.m.: The Wolverines are coming off an 18-1 win over Norwich Thursday in their first-ever STAC game, while the Saints dropped a 6-2 decision to Oneonta on Wednesday.

Seton Catholic opened the season with an 8-3 loss to Windsor on Tuesday.

Tioga at Southern Cayuga, 4:30 p.m.: The Tigers are coming off an 11-9 season in 2023 that ended with a 3-2 loss to Union Springs in the Class C quarterfinals.

Tioga graduated just one senior from last year’s team.
