ON TAP TODAY: RAIN THREATENS MUCH OF TUESDAY'S SLATE OF ACTION (2024-04-02)
Valley Sports ReportTHE VALLEY - Mother Nature appears poised to wreak havoc on the high school sports schedule for the next 72 hours or more, but track & field should go off as scheduled even if it rains as much as predicted.
Tuesday’s schedule if the rain holds off is as follows:
BASEBALL
NEB (3-1) at Sayre (1-1), 4:30 p.m.: The Redskins are coming off a 16-2 win over Williamson Thursday, while the Panthers topped Forest City Regional, 15-4, Saturday.
NEB blanked Williamson, 10-0, in its season-opener.
SOFTBALL
NEB (3-0) at Sayre (1-1), 4:30 p.m.: The Redskins are coming off an 18-0 three-inning loss to Williamson Thursday, while the Panthers rolled over Forest City Regional, 15-3.
NEB edged Williamson, 3-2, in its season opener.
Addison (1-0) at Waverly (1-0), 5 p.m.: The Wolverines are coming off a season-opening 18-1 win over Norwich Thursday, while the Knights topped Notre Dame 16-5 in its opener.
TENNIS
Owego at Waverly (0-2), 4:30 p.m.: The Wolverines are coming off a 7-0 loss to Chenango Forks Wednesday, while the River Hawks lost 7-0 to Chenango Valley on Tuesday.
Both teams have been swept by Chenango Forks, and Chenango Valley.
TRACK & FIELDSayre, Towanda, NP-M at Wellsboro, 3:30 p.m.
Waverly at Corning, 5 p.m.
