Valley Sports ReportTHE VALLEY - Mother Nature took a heavy toll on Tuesday’s action, and it’s likely to do the same thing Wednesday as another day’s worth of rain is in the forecast.
Today’s schedule has already been impacted as Waverly’s home baseball game against Seton Catholic was re-scheduled for Saturday at 1 p.m.
TRACK & FIELD
Troy, Wyalusing at Athens, 4 p.m.: The Wildcats are coming off wins over Sayre and Towanda, but the competition stiffens a bit today as the Trojans and Rams come calling at Alumni Stadium.
Tioga, Southern Cayuga at O-M 4:30 p.m.: The Tigers open the 2024 campaign against perennial division power Odessa-Montour, and IAC North foe Southern Cayuga.
BASEBALL
Wyalusing (1-2 overall, 1-2 NTL) at Athens (0-1, 0-1), 4:30 p.m.: The Wildcats are coming off a 4-2 loss to Troy Tuesday, while the Rams dropped a 9-3 decision at home to North Penn-Mansfield.
